RCC prepares for 13th consecutive trip to Dayton!

Mark Your Calendar! ¬†Then come out¬†and¬†‚Äėcatch their act‚Äô at the SCPA Championships¬†as the award-winning RCC Winter Drum Line prepares¬†to take their 13th consecutive trip¬†to the WGI Championships – at the University of Dayton Arena, in Dayton, Ohio. ¬†In what has become a great tradition, the Southern California Percussion Alliance provides a great send off – a ‚Äėlast chance‚Äô to get nervous and entertain the crowd as drum lines compete at the SCPA Prelims at Great Oak HS on Sat & Sun, March 29 & 30, with the SCPA Championships set for the arena at Cal-State, San Bernardino – on Saturday, April 5th!

RCC Announces 2014 Winter Drum Line Cast

After a great audition turnout AND a great weekend of marching and playing – followed by hours of staff conversation and deliberation – the 2014 edition of the RCC Winter Drum Line has been finalized! ¬†There’s already a ‘buzz’ started at the college as the new cast of characters meets for sectionals and anticipates the upcoming contest season, one that will once again include shows throughout the¬†Southland, as well as their 13th consecutive trip to the WGI World Championships in Dayton, Ohio.

RCC Announces 2014 Fantasia Cast

Following an exciting audition weekend and dozens of rehearsal sessions, the 2014 Fantasia cast is set! ¬†There are exciting times at RCC, with the Marching Tigers just back from appearing as the ‘grand finale’ in the London New Year’s Day Parade ¬†AND the winter drum¬†line enjoying an amazing influx of talent. ¬†And the ‚Äėbuzz‚Äô around Fantasia is right up there with the rest of¬†the department of performing arts at the college, with a cast of 13 men and 15 women ¬†- all¬†dedicated entertainers boasting a wide variety of background experiences!

RCC “All Star” Band Takes Europe By Storm – LITERALLY!

Everyone’s heard the expression ‘don’t rain on my parade.’ ¬†Somehow, the weather Gods weren’t paying attention¬†over the holiday break as the Riverside City College “All Star” Band travelled to London and Madrid, to appear on¬†international television, in the two most widely publicized events of their kind in the world! ¬†Yes, it was the 28th¬†annual London New Year’s Day Parade AND the “Cabalgata de Reyes” in Madrid, Spain and it RAINED on both¬†historic parades! ¬†To say that the “Marching Tigers” got soaked would be an understatement!
