RCC presents: Fantasia 2015 – New Cast, New Season, New Look!

As one veteran observer of pageantry was heard to say: “What a great way to start a new season, with a victory at a WGI Regional!”  Despite threatening storm clouds outside, it was warm and festive inside the gym at Great Oak HS, in Temecula, CA last Saturday as Fantasia opened their competitive season with beautiful Russian costumes!  With one of the largest guards in their storied history, the 20 men and 15 women entertained the crowd with intricate density studies, exciting tosses and effects – all performed to music from Stravinsky.  Don’t miss “Danse Russe” when it comes to a site near you!

RCC To Host Fantasia 2015 Season “PREMIERE!”

Mark your calendar! This is your chance to come out to a quality venue and get a ‘sneak peak’ of the 2015 edition of the 5-time WGI World Class Champion: FANTASIA! It’s a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon, enjoying some of the best winter guards from the Inland Empire, capped off with the first performance of the ‘largest-ever’ pageantry ensemble at RCC, the 35 members of Fantasia!

RCC Indoor Percussion Opens 2015 Season With SCPA Victory!

After all of the talk about RCC becoming a Blue Devils Performing Arts ensemble—the meetings, the planning, the brain-storming creative sessions, and the practices—there finally came a time to actually get out and do what they do best: PERFORM! And what a performance it was! At the season-opening SCPA contest at Chino Hills High School, the 41-members of RCC came to play, impressing the audience as well as the panel of experienced adjudicators.

Riverside City College “All Star” Band to host 5th “Paris Night!”

Have your heard the news?  The RCC “Marching Tigers” have been invited to be the first-ever college band to march down the famed “Champs-Elysees”  – in the inaugural “La Grande Parade De Paris! Never before in history has the civic and national governments both agreed to stage their New Year’s Day Parade & Celebration on their main boulevard – until now!  With the RCC Band as a nucleus, the “All Star” ensemble will be augmented by high school performers from throughout the Inland Empire area, creating a unique ‘marching honor band.’
