RCC’s FANTASIA announces 2012 cast members

Finally, after auditions and several camp weekends, call backs, departures and additions followed by hours of staff conversation and deliberation – the Fantasia 2012 cast has been finalized! The new group is talented, hard-working and excited about their new show, new props and new floor and costumes!  The upcoming contest season will include numerous appearances throughout the Southland, as well as their 22nd trip to the WGI Championships in Dayton, Ohio. 1530019-14-all-american-rejects-behind-the-scenes-video-617-409Yes, there definitely IS life after marching band season ends!  Of course, the RCC “Marching Tigers” started off 2012 by making their 6th appearance in the prestigious 123rd Tournament of Roses Parade. Everyone ‘caught their act’ on KTLA.  BUT… there is a whole ‘other part’ of what RCC does – known as the “2nd season!”  And what a start to the new year this has been already!

RCC Winter Wailers Kick off 2012 SCPA Season at Chino Hills HS!

Man, it’s been a long time since we heard some ‘winter drum line’ sounds, hasn’t it? If you are in need of a percussion infusion, then make your way to Chino Hills HS this Saturday, January 28 for the opening of the 2012 Southern California Percussion Alliance competitive season!  The action starts at 5pm with 15 brave new drum lines showing their stuff IN JANUARY!  For more info:  sc-pa.org

RCC “Marching Tigers” instructor’s interview with RCC Viewpoints

The Riverside City College newspaper, Viewpoints, will have an article featuring the RCC Marching Tigers in their upcoming edition. Most, or all, of the article is about the Tigers’ recent (6th) appearance in the 2012 Rose Parade. Kurt Kilgus, current marching instructor and former Drum Major was asked a few questions by the Editor-In-Chief.
